thomas sadoski-2Sadoski began his stage work on stage as an actor's understudy for Mark Ruffalo (Mark Rosenthal) in the Off Broadway production at the Second Stage Theatre of Kenneth Lonergan's critically-acclaimed play This is Our Youth. This was the first of many productions for the company based in New York. He has appeared in a variety of Broadway and Off Broadway productions and has also appeared in numerous performances in regional theatres. He played the role of Greg in Neil LaBute's Play Reasons to Be Beautiful at the MCC Theatre with his Newsroom co-star Alison Pill. After a sell-out Off-Broadway production, it was transferred to Broadway in April 2009. It was nominated for three Tony Award nominations, including Best Actor and Best Actress: Marin Ireland, and three Drama Desk Award nominations for Best Actor and Best Director: Terry Kinney. 6. Neil LaBute credits Sadoski for being the catalyst for the widely praised change in tone in reasons to be beautiful from the earlier work of the playwright, by saying: "His own thoughtfulness and good heart helped me to not rely on my previous work prior to that. My plays often end with a dark tone. While I was of the opinion that gray was a real thing I was taught by him that there are many hues of life. He was the first Trip Wyeth character in Jon Robin Baitz's Other Desert Cities, for which he was honored with an Obie Award (and a Lucille Lortel Award). The production (which was also, after a sold out Off-Broadway performance, was transferred to Broadway in November 2011) was named the Best New Off-Broadway Play by the Outer Critics Circle in 2011. Sadoski is also seen on Broadway with Ben Stiller, Edie Falco, Jennifer Jason Leigh and Alison Pill in John Guare's House of Blue Leaves
