Julia-roberts
Julia Fiona Roberts' parents are Walter Grady Roberts and Betty Lou Bredemus. Her great-grandfather John Pendleton Roberts, a farmer, was the first Roberts to settle in Atlanta. Early in his life the father of her mother became obsessed by the acting. While a student at Emory University he appeared in diverse productions, both on and off the campus. While stationed in Biloxi Mississippi, he was inducted into the Air Force in 1953. Betty Lou Bredemus was in that production as well. In 1955, the couple married and, in 1956, their child Eric Anthony was born. In 1957, the couple quit the air force and Walter enrolled at Tulane University in New Orleans Louisiana. Walter started working at Atlanta Academy Theater and Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio in 1960. Walter as well as Betty Lou financed their own production of a children's Sunday matinee show called Bum Bum and His Buddies. They established an Actors and Writers Workshop in the same year, which lasted 6 years. In the meantime, they were blessed with two additional youngsters Lelisa (called Lisa) Billingsley in the year 1965, in 1965 and Julia (called Julie) in 1967.
