Zoe Saldana is an American dancer and actress who shot to fame with her high-profile role in blockbuster movies such as Pirates of the Caribbean. Star Trek Star Trek Into Darkness, Avatar and The Curse of the Black Pearl. Saldana, a trained ballet teacher and dancer, started out performing in theatre. Her first big break came through Center Stage. She had appeared in a variety of plays, as well as for FACES theatre and in the New York Youth Theatre group. As of today, Saldana has enjoyed great successes with her selection of top grossing international films in her kitty. She has a wide range of talents that give her advantage over other actresses in her generation. Saldana isn't confined to just one type of film. The performances she has given have been featured in a range of different films, ranging from dramas and romantic comedies, to action-fiction films, sci-fi and dramas. The actress has the ability to play such a wide range of roles because she's determined and focuses in a fervent manner.
