Allison Stokke and Alyce Caron
Allison Stokke has been a pole vaulter for over 20 years. Her birth date was the 22nd March 1989, in Newport Beach California. She became a pole jumper in 2007 after she saw a photograph taken at a track meet when she was 17. Instagram and Twitter are her most popular social media platforms. Her name is well-known as a for her track and field performance, like Jessica Ennis Hill. Los Angeles Times reported, among others, that Stokke never sought out such public attention. Brett Hutchins and David Rowe in Technology Power and Culture in the Network Society connected Stokke's case to that of American soccer athletes Alex Morgan and Hope Solo. Both women were accused of sexual harassment and the public image of them was framed in a way that the authors claimed to diminish the accomplishments of the athletes. Regarding Stokke they also observed that comments on social media often referred to as insulting and blamed the sexualization process to the women. Some people compared Brandi's bra-clad party with that of the FIFA World Cup Women's Final of 1999, in where she celebrated her win. Discussions about public appearances was a distraction from women's achievements in sports. The online journalist snapped photos of Stokke's athletic performance in New York, early in 2007. In May the image was then posted by With Leather a sports blog with a massive male following commenting on the beauty of seventeen-year-old Stokke with the caption Pole Vaulting is Sexy Barely Legal. Stokke threatened to sue owner Matt Ufford if he did not take down the image and the story had already received significant interest and was posted on dozens of other websites. Stokke rapidly gained popularity when a website dedicated to him was created with images of Stokke performing her skills during the pole vault. The images then spread via social media to millions of online fans. Alyce Caron..............Alyce Caron was born in Houston in the United States in February 1957.
